“Millions of men and women in motion. Some leave the past in hopes of building a better life elsewhere. In a way they choose to move. Others are fleeing forced by wars, terror to find new lands to live, perhaps regretting a the past of tranquility “
Derek Walcott

On the occasion of the December 18th “International Migrants Day” Asterisma presents the project TO BE PING PONG.
The project consists of a ping pong table walking / migrant on which people play the short games. This table will move in the district of Paolo Sarpi, living symbol of multiethnic culture of dialogue in Milan.
People who will be involved along the route of the road performance, this will move with his load full of meanings and interpretations in the streets, taking by surprise those they will encounter along the way.

The ping pong table, in each of the two fields shows the inscription “to be free”. The participant before initiating a game shall sign and stamp the area of writing, this will be gradually covered by the names of the participants and the printing of stamps bearing the phrase “December 18, 2011 – International Migrations Day.”
