You are the ideal person to be part of you*PLURAL, a project in which a group of immigrants create their own audiovisual chronicles, using cellphones for publishing photographs, videos, sounds and texts. You can also use your digital camera and a computer with Internet access.

Since 2004, megafone.net encourages groups and communities to express their experiences and opinions using cellphones. The participants create their own community channels, transforming the mobile phones in digital megaphones that amplify the voice of these groups.The project has 11 previous editions in places such as México City, Barcelona and Madrid (Spain), São Paulo (Brazil), San José (Costa Rica), Manizales (Colombia), Geneva (Switzerland) and in the Algerian Sahara, to cite a few.

you*PLURAL is a project of megafone.net with the support of a grant for Visual Arts from Fundación Botín, with the collaboration of the New New Yorkers program from the Queens Museum of Art and the Immigrant Movement International project from Tania Bruguera.

Entonces eres la persona ideal para participar en el proyecto canal*PLURAL, donde un grupo de inmigrantes realizan sus propias crónicas audiovisuales utilizando teléfonos celulares, desde los que publican fotografías, videos, sonidos y textos en la red. También puedes participar utilizando tu cámara de fotos digital y una computadora con conexión a Internet.

Desde 2004, megafone.net invita a grupos y comunidades a expresar sus experiencias y opiniones a través del uso de teléfonos celulares. Los participantes elaboran sus propios canales comunitarios, convirtiendo a los celulares en megáfonos digitales que amplifican la voz de estos colectivos. Se han desarrollado once proyectos con diversos colectivos en México DF, Barcelona y Madrid (España), São Paulo (Brasil), San José (Costa Rica), Manizales (Colombia), Ginebra (Suiza) y en el Sahara Argelino, entre otros lugares.

El canal*PLURAL es un proyecto de megafone.net realizado con el apoyo de una beca de Artes Visuales de la Fundación Botín, con la colaboración del programa New New Yorkers del Queens Museum of Art y del proyecto Immigrant Movement International de Tania Bruguera.

Todos los sábados de 2 a 4pm se realizan talleres de formación donde se capacita en el uso del celular para la publicación en Internet de fotografías, vídeos y sonidos.
