Migrant SoccerFest

Location: Bird Park Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
Project Description: An international, intergenerational, coed soccer match 2-4pm at Bird Park soccer field in Mount Lebanon, a south hills suburb of Pittsburgh, and a hotbead for soccer and progressive politics. The game will be followed by a potluck dinner and music at the Mount Lebanon Tennis Center’s Founder’s Room (holds about 100 folks) and a panel discussion about migrant work and diversity. This event and discussion will be hosted by Mount Lebanon resident and soccer dad Larry Evans who worked as a VISTA Volunteer in 1969-70 in a migrant camp in Broward County, Florida. Luckily the Steeler game is Monday nite, Dec 19!
