Immigrants as Atlas

Project Description: Atlas: DIY, developing immigrant youth, will stage a performance and collection of celebrating how migrants truly are the heartbeat and soul of the great NYC. Between 1 30 and 3 30 pm, in Sunset Park Brooklyn, one of the city’s most diverse areas, Atlas will photograph our amazing immigrant neighbors holding up a literal world created by immigrant youth. These photos will be tweeted in real time (@AtlasDIY) with the subject’s statement of how they keep our world turning. The manifesto will be read, no SHOUTED aloud at 2pm in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, Bk’s second highest point!
