Project Description:
Visible Collective will trace the path of Walter Hill’s The Warriors (1979), starting in reverse sequence at Coney Island at sunrise and then traveling backward until we reach Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Along the way we will document, at each stop, one object that links to the newer residents. Alongside celluloid traces of the Lizzies, Furies, Panzers and Saracens will be everyday people – not quite trying to escape a gauntlet, just trying to get to work, one day at a time.
